Next week, February 4th and February 7, we’re heading to the western suburbs–to Aurora, IL–to spend two hours working in a positive, enjoyable setting with friends and family. We’re visiting Feed My Starving Children where we will be packing specially formulated rice meals designed to bring children back from the brink of starvation. The cause is serious, but the time doing this important work goes fast and is life-changing–truly.
We’ve been several times–with members of our own family, homeschooling friends, and student groups. Time there is eye-opening. You learn a great deal about the state of food distribution in the world today and the plight of starvation.
This organization is child-friendly, meaning volunteers as young as 5-years-old can participate if accompanied with a parent or guardian. A great experience is heading our way next week at Feed My Starving Children in Aurora, IL. Hope to see you there.
