The mission of Ronald McDonald House is to care for families of children with complex medical needs by providing comfort, compassion and community. RMH keeps families of hospitalized children together in a “home away from home.” Act Out Now will be participating in the RMH Meals from the Heart program by planning a dinner menu and shopping for the ingredients ahead of time. Then, on March 29th we will prepare the dinner for families staying at the House.

Ronald McDonald House near Loyola University Medical Center opened in July of 1995 and has served more than 7,700 families. The House has 18 bedrooms and inviting decor is based on the children’s book, The Secret Garden, with several secret places to be enjoyed by all. The House is situated on 2.5 acres with plenty of complimentary parking, and is part of the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital complex. It’s located just a short shuttle to & from Loyola University Medical Center, six miles from Shriners Hospital for Children, RUSH Children’s Hospital & UIC Children’s Hospital.

Join us on March 29th to help bring a little comfort to the families staying at RMH. Space is limited for this particular service project.

Please RSVP by Friday 3/22.

Additional Meals from the Heart dates are also scheduled. See the event calendar for details.
