ActOut 2.0 is a reimagining of the ActOut service learning fair and student showcase that has been held in the spring for several years running. This year, the format has expanded significantly—into a conference format including a featured keynote presentation, concurrent sessions on two tracks across four broad topic areas, and an exhibit/information hall for community-based nonprofits to host tables to inform the community of their work and volunteer opportunities.
The theme for this conference is “Our Common Ground: A Space for Civil Discourse.”
The conference is striving toward an honest understanding of contemporary social issues that bridges the political divide and offers real world ideas for nonpartisan civic engagement and problem-solving action.
The call for proposals is now open. The deadline has now been extended to January 30, but please act quickly.
