Biography

The goal in the English as a Second Language program at Moraine Valley Community College is to provide quality English language instruction for students whose native language is not English. They want to help prepare students for further academic study, employment, professional advancement and personal enrichment.

Notes

There are opportunities for people to volunteer in assisting the community ESL classes at Moraine Valley. ESL Friends Circle, ESL Conversation Group, and the citizenship classes through this department can all make use of student volunteers through special arrangement. It is an amazing opportunity to work with a diverse population of people in a way that truly changes lives.

The video below shares the experiences of several ESL and GED students from Moraine Valley Community College who participated in a Caregiver Bridge Program.
